History

In 1989 Theresia and Otto Bauer took over the business and in the same year began building the new 4-star hotel in Stockerau.

With 33 rooms, a restaurant, café, fitness area and seminar rooms, the success story of the City Hotel began.

In 1995 the hotel invested in expansion, adding 23 rooms in Brodschildstraße, further seminar rooms and an underground car park.

In 2001 and 2005 the Bauer family again invested in expanding the hotel, adding 37 more rooms, a 400 m² wellness area, a wine cellar, a cosy cellar tavern, further seminar rooms, a conservatory and a lobby.

Today, three generations of the Bauer family help run the business. A further 35 employees also look after the well-being of our guests to guarantee an unforgettable stay in a large upscale hotel like the City Hotel.
