History

How it all began

In 1989, Theresia and Otto Bauer took over the business and, in the very same year, began construction of the first 4-star hotel in Stockerau.

Boasting 33 rooms, restaurant, café, fitness area and seminar rooms, the successful history of the City Hotel began.

1995 saw further investment and expansion in the hotel, including 23 rooms in the Brodschildstrasse, additional seminar rooms and an underground parking garage.

In 2001 and 2005, the Bauer family continued to invest in the hotel's expansion, adding 14 more rooms, a 400qm² wellness area, a vinotheque, seminar rooms, a winter garden and a new lobby.

In the meantime, three generations of the Bauer family are now helping out with the business. And in order to guarantee an unforgettable stay in a large, superior-quality establishment such as this, a further 30 staff members dedicate themselves to attending to the every need of our guests. Spanning an area of some 1000qm² with 200 beds, the City Hotel is presumably the largest in the entire Weinviertel region.
